Meet me at the Clock! The GCT Information Booth clock is one of the most recognizable icons in New York City. The Self Winding Clock Company of Brooklyn crafted the four-sided “ball clock” in 1913, and rebuilt its mechanism in the 1950s. Like many New York subway and railway clocks, its time was set by an electric signal from the Naval Observatory.
